Tranquil Waters Addiction Treatment Services
Tranquil Waters is an upscale, private residential treatment program for women, that is located iin a 5000.00 sq ft heritage home on 2/3 acre in a quiet rural setting. We are moderately priced when compared to other high end treatment/recovery programs. Additionally, our service is exclusive to women.
Tranquil Waters Addiction Treatment Services is dedicated to providing education, treatment and counselling to women and families affected by the disease of addiction through residential and nonresidential programs administered in a professional, nonjudgmental, supportive way that enables every committed client to return to a happy, healthy, productive lifestyle. We offer the following services:Minimum 3 Month residential treatment for alcohol, drug and process addictions; minimum 3 Month non-residential day programming (Monday – Friday)
5 day group sessions "Family Matters" for family members and loved ones; Interventions; Medically supervised detoxification;Group counselling;One-on-one counselling by qualified addictions counsellors and registered professional counsellors; Full time nursing; and 24 hour staffing.
We believe in a person centered, holistic approach to recovery from addiction and with smaller groups are able to provide individualized treatment strategies for each client. We believe that addiction is a symptom of an underlying problem or trauma and in order to recover, one must deal with whatever the underlying issue is and find healing for that issue. We believe that an all woman environment provides the safest, best possible outcomes for our clients to recover from these issues.
Executive Director, Christine Brayshaw has 5 years experience as a recovered addict both as a client in treatment facilities, as the director of a treatment facility and, as the administrator of a treatment facility. In addition, as a Registered Professional Counsellor, a Certified Addiction Counsellor and a trained interventionist, she has an empathetic approach to overcoming trauma as she is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and as a result of her personal experiences and market research realized that women who had not gone so far down the scale of addiction as to become street entrenched had nowhere to recover that was not co-ed and the monthly cost was in excess of $10,000.00. Government sponsored treatment centers employ harm reduction which we believe does not help the individual addict to recover. Christine started with a dream of helping women like herself recover from the entrenchment and desperation of addiction and trauma and wentback to school to obtain the education to do so. Now with the purchase of the facilities for Tranquil Waters, Christine is able to see her dream become a reality.
If you or a loved one are a female over the age of 19 with any type of addiction, we are here to help you recover. THERE IS HOPE!!
